Disterri SA is a family business that dates back to a cart business in La Garriga called Can Xela, where Pere Terricabras Plà and his brother Josep worked, and in 1964 they took over the company.

Effort and dedication have allowed Disterri to grow and position itself as a specialist in the distribution of products for restaurants, communities, food stores and wineries. Its catalogue is divided mainly into 9 product lines: beers, waters, soft drinks, juices, milks, wines and cavas, liquors, food products and drugstore and household goods, which encompass the 2,500 references available.

Disterri has a warehouse of approximately 7,000 m2 and a team of 100 people, including salespeople, drivers, warehouse workers and administrators.

What need did you have when you hired us?

At Disterri we work 24 hours a day preparing orders. In the past we had an IT provider that closed at 5pm and from that time onwards we were no longer able to receive any service. Being left without an IT system after 5pm was a tragedy. We were left without delivery notes, with trucks at the dock unable to leave…

Description of the SOLUTION

GESISA offered us peace of mind above all. A non-stop service, including Saturday and Sunday!

A Monitoring service with which we have continuous control of all activity and a Data Center service, with which, thanks to virtualization and the enabling of High Availability functions, the uninterrupted operation of the services provided by the virtual servers is guaranteed, moving them, in the event of a physical server failure, to another of those that make up the system. The jump from one to the other is automatic, without users noticing any change, to the point that we find out because GESISA technicians inform us.

GESISA has been with us for the past 10 years, expanding server capacity in line with our growth, managing licenses, implementing Office 365 and providing us with personalized micro-IT support through its IT Help Desk.

What was the degree of satisfaction with the implemented solution?

The treatment is cordial, the relationship fluid, there is harmony and total trust. At Disterri, if a supplier does not work, we have no problem changing it. If we continue with GESISA after so many years, it is because of the peace of mind it gives us.
